One killed, 10 inured in separate road accidents in UP

A 25-year-old man died and at least 10 people were injured in two separate road mishaps in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, police said today.

Rahul Maurya, a resident of village Kurwa was hit by a speeding car near HAL gate on Banda-Tanda national highway while crossing the road after parking his car on other side, they said.

He was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munshiganj where doctors referred him to trauma centre, Lucknow.

Maurya succumbed to his injuries on way, police said.

In a separate incident, 10 people on their way to attend a wedding ceremony, were injured when the van they were travelling in collided with a bus near Bhadar power house on Amethi-Durgapur road, they said.

 

The injured were given primary treatment and discharged from the hospital, police said.
