One killed as slab collapses inside Adani plant at Tirora

A labourer was killed and three others were injured after a slab collapsed at an under-construction structure inside Adani Power Maharashtra Limited's plant at Tirora in the district this afternoon.

The victims were having their lunch sitting in a trailer parked under the slab, police said.

Sukhdeo Tembekar (42) was killed while Shivaji Yadav (46), Narendra Lahuture (37) and Dinesh Nagpure (39) were injured.

Senior officials of APML, Tirora MLA Vijay Rahangdale and sub-divisional police officer Deepak Girhe visited the site.

Rahangdale demanded a probe into the incident and compensation of Rs five lakh for the kin of the deceased.
