One person was killed and five others, including three advocates, were seriously injured when an auto-rickshaw collided with a pick-up van today in Purnia district of Bihar, the police said.
Banmankhi Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) V K Paswan said the incident happened near Banmankhi sub-division headquarters and the deceased had been identified as Gulab Paswan (50).
"The auto-rickshaw was going to Purnia town while the pick-up van was coming from the opposite direction in the morning. Both the vehicles collided at high speed. Among the five injured, three are advocates, who were going to Purnia for work," the SDPO said.
The injured have been admitted to government hospital at Banmankhi. Among them the condition of one Mohammad Arshad is said to be critical.
