One shot at, money snatched

One person was injured when

unidentified gunmen fired at him and snatched away Rs 1.5 lakh from him in Nagaon town in central Assam today.

Two motorcycle borne youths demanded the money from one Shymal Biswas, an employee of a cold drinks distributor, when he was on way to deposit the Rs 1.5 lakh in a bank at Haibargaon, police sources said.

When he refused to hand over the money one of the youths youths fired upon him from a revolver and one bullet hit Biswas on his shoulder, the sources said.

After forcibly taking the money, the assailants fled away, they said. Biswas was admitted to a local nursing home.
 

Search operation has been launched to nab the culprits.
