Over a hundred people were taken ill after consuming food at a marriage function at Fatehwadi here, police said today.
More than hundred people complained of vomiting and loose motion after consuming food at a marriage function organised at the house of one Mansooribhai, a police official from Aslali police station said.
"We received separate complaints from people past midnight of vomiting and loose motion after consuming food at the marriage function," he said.
People including elderly and children were rushed to VS Hospital here and most of them were discharged by afternoon, he said.
"We have begun the process of ascertaining the reason behind food poisoning," the officer added.
