Former IAS officer P L Agrawal today took oath as the State Information Commissioner at Raj Bhawan here.
Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh administered the oath to Agrawal at a function.
Speaking on the occasion, Agrawal said that his priority will be to clear pendency of appeals with transparency.

"I will try to clear pendency with transparency. I will also make efforts to ensure that people are not deprived of the Right of Information," he said.
Rajasthan MoS for Social Justice and Empowerment Arun Chaturvedi, State Chief Information Commissioner T Srinivasan, Chief Secretary Rajiv Meharshi and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
Agrawal has served as the Collector of Jaisalmer, Nagaur, Chittorgarh and as the Divisional Commissioner of Kota.
