Palani hundi collections net Rs 1.4 cr

Hundi collections in the last 20 days at the famous hill shrine of Lord Muruga here netted Rs 1.40 crore, officials said today.

The offerings, apart from cash including foreign currency, comprised 588 gm of gold 10.5 kg of silver, they said.

Joint Commissioner (in-charge) Rajamanickam was present when the hundials were opened and the offerings counted today.
