Congress in Kerala today demanded the resignation of State Education Minister C Raveendranath in the wake of alleged leak of SSLC Mathematics question paper.

Speaking at the protest march organised by pro-congress Kerala Students Union (KSU) here, KPCC President M M Hassan said, the Education Minister who mentally harassedthousands of students should quit the position.

The state government should take action against those responsible for the mistake, he said.

Hassan also alleged corruption behind the question paper leak.

The state government had cancelled the Mathematics examination held on March 20 and decided to conduct a re-examination on March 30, following the alleged question paper leak.

Meanwhile, police used water cannon and lathis to disperse the KSU activists who tried to break the police cordon in front of the Secretariat.
