: Parents of a seventh standard residential school student, who died after he reportedly slipped and fell off an under construction wing of the institution, refused to accept the body for some time today and demanded action against the school management.
The 13-year-old boy from the school about 27 km from here died last evening after he reportedly went to the building alone, lost his footing and fell to his death, police said.
He was immediately rushed to a government hospital at Yercaud, where he was declared brought dead. The body was then brought to the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital here, where a post-mortem was done, police said.

However the parents and relatives refused to accept it and demanded action against the school management and arrest of the teachers for letting the child go alone to the wing.
The boy's body was later handed over to the parents after police assured them that due action would be taken.
