Petty shop owner held for selling banned lottery

A 62-year-old man, running a petty shop, was today arrested for allegedly selling banned lottery tickets, police said here.

Mohan, who has been selling lottery tickets, had brought them from Kerala, they said, adding that 350 lottery tickets have been seized from him.

He had been arrested for the offence in 2010 and had served a jail-term for a few months, the police said.

After coming out of jail, he resumed selling the tickets and was caught, they said.
