PM expresses grief over ferry mishap in Bangladesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed grief over the loss of lives in a ferry accident in Bangladesh.

"PM @narendramodi has expressed grief on the loss of lives due to the ferry accident on the Padma River in Bangladesh," said a tweet on the PMO handle.

"My prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident in Bangladesh," said a tweet by Modi.

An overcrowded ferry sank in Padma River in Bangladesh and at least 70 people have died so far.

The boat is believed to have been carrying over 140 people.
