Press Trust of India Lucknow
Controversial Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan today attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his comments against RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter, saying it was "shameful" and "insulting" for entire women community.

"Modi's statement about Lalu's daughter is shameful and insult to women," Khan said while addressing a programme here.

He was referring to Modi's recent speech at a rally in Patna where the Prime Minister had taken a dig at Lalu's bid to promote his family members by first trying to "set bechari beti (helpless daughter)" in the Lok Sabha polls and now "yuvraj (his sons)" in the Assembly elections.

Azam said the statement was condemnable and it was not only against Lalu's daughter but against the entire women community.
