Poet Bekal Utsahi injured in road accident

The incident took place last night while the Padamshree awardee was returning from Delhi, family members said here today.

The jeep in which the poet was travelling rammed into a tree due to dense fog near Jankinagar on Gonda-Balrampur road, they said.

Utsahi, who sustained serious injuries on his head and face, has been admitted to a private hospital, they said.
