Police finds 12-yr old boy abducted last week

Police today claimed to have traced a 12-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped last week and arrested a couple in this connection.

Moga SSP Kamaljit Singh said they recovered the boy yesterday during a raid that was conducted at Baba Jeevan Singh Nagar adjoining Dunneke village here.

The accused identified as Harnek Singh and his wife Rekha Rani have been nabbed for allegedly abducting Charanjit Singh from Mahendran village on October 11, police said, adding, the third accused, Khazan Singh managed to escape.

According to the complaint lodged by victim's father, Charanjeet was abducted when he went to Gurdwara Nanaksar Thath along with other village boys.
 

However, during interrogation, the couple denied abducting the boy, saying he himself desired to accompany them when they left Mandheran village, police said.
