Police unearth fake job racket in Burdwan

Three candidates escaped while eight others were briefly detained when police unearthed an irrigation department job racket in Burdwan district today.

Police sources said the 11 candidates hailed from Durgapur, Mahisadal and Birbhum and the eight detained were let off after it was found they were duped under promise of job in the department.

Search was on for the kingpins of the racket who reportedly submitted fake job certificate.
