In a suspected case of road rage, a 51-year-old Delhi Police head constable was seriously injured when a tractor driver hit him with a metal rod after the duo got into an argument in southwest Delhi's Bindapur area.
Police have arrested the driver, Arun (36), who hails from Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place last evening when the policeman, Bhanu Pratap, was returning home after his duty.

Pratap's motorcycle brushed against the tractor after which its driver started hurling abuses at him and the two got into an argument.
"The quarrel grew and the tractor driver pulled out a metal rod from his vehicle and smashed it on Pratap's head," a senior police official said.
Head constable Pratap fell to the ground bleeding profusely and Arun fled the scene.
Passersby called the police and the injured officer was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. Police said his condition was stable.
After recording Pratap's statement, a police team identified the owner of the tractor and thereafter, the identity of the errant driver was also established.
"The driver was identified as a supplier of water to different local areas, and his possible hideouts were raided. He was arrested from his rented accommodation in Dabri area today early morning. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused," the official said.
