Jharkhand Director General of Police D K Pandey today said Rs three lakh will be given to police personnel as reward for the killing of three militants of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) yesterday.
PLFI chief Dinesh Gope was also injured in the encounter with police, who acted on a tip-off, at Kullatuttu jungle in Simdega district of Jharkhand.
Pandey, who reached the spot on a chopper today, handed over a cheque of Rs three lakh to Superintendent of Police Rajiv Ranjan Singh as reward for the police personnel engaged in the encounter.

The DGP said police had information that three other naxalites, including Gope, had sustained bullet injuries during the encounter, and search is on to nab them.
The senior police official said that a state-announced reward amount on the head of these militants would be also given to the informer.
Extremist activity was a hindrance in the path of development, and the PLFI would be wiped out from its root, Pandey said during an address to the police personnel.
