Pope says will canonise Fatima child shepherds on May 13

Pope Francis said today that he would canonise two child shepherds who claimed to have had holy visions in Fatima, Portugal, on May 13, during a visit to the pilgrimage site.

The sanctification of Jacinta and Francisco Marto will mark the 100th anniversary of the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Fatima, an important part of Catholic tradition.
