Silver futures up by 0.4% on positive global cues

Taking positive cues from overseas market, silver prices rose Rs 140 to Rs 36,973 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up positions.
Silver at Multi Commodity Exchange was trading higher by Rs 140, or 0.38%, at Rs 36,973 per kg, in a business turnover of 581 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month March next year was trading higher by Rs 140, or 0.37%, to Rs 37,726 per kg, clocking a business volume of just one lot.
Analysts said speculative positions created by participants following gains in the precious metals overseas, mainly influenced silver prices in futures trade here.
Globally, silver climbed 0.88% to $15.96 an ounce in Singapore today.
