Power generation suspended in Tuticorin thermal plant

Power generation has been suspended in one of the five units of the Tuticorin Thermal Power Station here following a technical snag.

The transformer of the fifth unit with a capacity of 210 MW broke down last night, resulting in suspension of generation from it, officials said today.

The unit would be restored in 2-3 days, they said.

The TTPS has a total capacity of 1050 mw.
