Former president Pranab Mukherjee Thursday paid floral tributes to late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi at the latter's residence here.
Mukherjee, who arrived here Wednesday to participate in some private events, placed a bouquet of flowers in front of a portrait of Karunanidhi at the Gopalapuram residence of the former Tamil Nadu chief minister.
Mukherjee was accorded a warm welcome by DMK president M K Stalin.
DMK Rajya Sabha MPs Kanimozhi, R S Bharathi and party treasurer Duraimurugan were also present.
Karunanidhi passed away on August 7 after a prolonged illness.
