Pre-monsoon rains in Rajasthan, Bikaner hottest

Light to moderate rains occurred at several places in Rajasthan as pre-monsoon activities increased with Sanchor in Jalore receiving a maximum of 7 cm rains till morning today since yesterday.
Desuri in Pali and Sallopat in Banswara recorded 5 cm and 4 cm rains, respectively while other areas recorded below 4 cm rains during this period, according to Met department here.
Churu, Pilani and Dabok also registered 5.3, 4.6 and 0.8 mm rains, respectively, till evening since morning today.

Meanwhile, Bikaner was recorded as the hottest place with a maximum of 41.5 degree Celsius followed by Churu where the day temperature was 41.2 degrees Celsius.
Mercury hovered below 41 degrees Celsius at other places.
The weather conditions would remain the same with possibilities of thunderstorm at isolated areas in the state during next 24 hours.
