Premalatha Vijayakanth appears before Tirupur court

DMDK women's wing leader Premalatha Vijayakanth today appeared before a court in nearby Tirupur in connection with a defamation case filed against her.
The case was filed against her by Public Prosecutor Subramanian on behalf of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for allegedly making defamatory comments against the her at a public meeting in Palladam last year, police said.
The judicial magistrate Selladurai ordered Premalatha, to sign at Virugambakkam police station in Chennai at 10.30 am daily for two weeks.
