President extends Vaisakhi greetings

President Pranab Mukherjee today wished countrymen on the eve of Vaisakhi saying the harvest festival reminds us of invaluable service rendered to the nation by our farmers and agricultural labourers.

"On the joyous occasion of Vaisakhi, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens, especially to those who are engaged in cultivation and farming," the President said, in his message.

He said may this celebration of nature's bounty inspire us to strengthen our contribution to the nation's prosperity and remind us of the invaluable service rendered to the nation by our farmers and agricultural labourers.
