President Trump may inspire Jimmy Kimmel's Oscars monologue

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel has said his Oscar speech will depend on how US President Donald Trump spends the coming week at the White House.

The 49-year-old presenter, who will host this year's Oscars, has said his jokes will be largely drawn from what fodder the current president provides him, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.

"I don't know where we'll be mentally on February 26. I don't know if we'll feel like we're past that stuff or if there will be some new crazy thing we're all talking about... it really depends largely on what's going on that week," Kimmel said.

He added, "And I would definitely make those decisions the day of or day before as to how much material I do and what my spin on it is.
