Niger will have nothing to lose in their final group match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup while Brazil can't afford to lose, the debutants' coach Ismaila Tiemoko said here today.
Assured of a pre-quarterfinal spot, three-time champions Brazil would look for yet another win when they take on Niger in a Group D match.
"We would like to leave this competition on a good note. Brazil is a strong side and we respect them. This is the first time we are playing in this tournament while they have played earlier.
"We are going to play with all our force. The pressure is on Brazil to win tomorrow as they have been playing in this tournament (for long). If we lose, it does not matter, as we are playing for the first time." stated Tiemoko.
Playing in their first World Cup game, Niger kicked off the campaign on an impressive note, beating North Korea 1-0.
"The boys have been working hard to play at the highest level and have come well prepared to play in this tournament. This tournament is going to be a great experience for the boys as they will be playing in the U-20 tournament.
"We are also going to host the African Cup in 2019 and and the experience they gain in this tournament will help them to play better in the African Cup," the coach said.
