The Kerala High court today observed that processions on public roads can be avoided only if political and spiritual leaders show the way.
Justice K Ramakrishnan made the observation while staying proceedings against CPI(M) state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, Opposition leader Kodiyeri Balakrishanan, former minister and Polit Bureau member P K Sreemathy and 16 other marxist leaders in a case relating to conduct of processions on roads, banned by the High Court years ago.
The Court granted a three-month stay and directed police to file a statement.
