The bodies of two boys, aged 9 and 5, were extricate from a plot in Medchal yesterday and police suspected that the professor murdered them.
Suhasini, an IT employee, had filed a case of harassment against Guruprasad and the latter had been visiting his sons twice a month as per the directions of a local court.
"When the kids did not return till 4 pm (on October 5), I sent him (professor) SMSes and also called him up. I was eagerly waiting that they (my sons) would return anytime...But this is what he did," she said.
Suhasini, who could not come to terms with the loss of her sons, alleged that "he (professor) killed them."
Police have already established through the cell phone call data records that Guruprasad had taken his sons to Medchal, where he owned a plot, after picking them up from Suhasini on Saturday.
"As per the postmortem report of the boys and the forensic doctors, they died of neck injuries inflicted by a knife," Malkajgiri station police inspector G Shekar Goud said.
Police had earlier said that Guruprasad had sent an SMS to Suhasini before killing himself, but it was not delivered.
