Puducherry BJP unit condemns footwear attack on Minister

BJP here today condemned the footwear attack on Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan by a man during his visit to Salem to pay homage to JNU scholar Mutukrishnan who allegedly committed suicide in Delhi.

President of local unit of BJP V.Saminathan said in a release here the incident "lowered the respect of Tamil Nadu and tarnished its traits as a civilised society."

Radhakrishnan was among the Central Ministers responsible for the development of Tamil Nadu and unable to bear the good name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, anti-social elements were indulging in such undesirable activities, he said.
