Pulses remain flat in thin trade

Prices of pulses remained flat at the wholesale market today on lack of worthwhile buying activity and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said lack of worthwhile buying activity against adequate stocks position kept prices quiet.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad 5,400-5,800, Urad Chilka (local) 6,600-6,800, best 6,850-7,450, Dhoya 7,100-7,500, Moong 5,800-6,800, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,800-7,300, Moong Dhoya local 6,700-7,000 and best quality 7,500-7,600.

Masoor small 5,000-5,200, bold 5,000-5,300, Dal Masoor local 5,800-5,900, best quality 5,900-6,000, Malka local 5,700-6,000, best 5,900-6,000, Moth 4,200-4,500, Arhar 4,300-4,400, Dal Arhar Dara 5,500-5,800.

Gram 2,800-3,600, Gram Dal (local) 3,550-3,750, best quality 3,650-3,750, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 5,200-8,700, Kabli Gram small 3,600-6,000, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,600-5,800, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 2,900-3,050.
