Punjab speaker pays floral tributes to Bhagat Singh

Punjab Speaker Rana K P Singh today commemorated the 110th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh at his ancestral village of Khatkar Kalan.

The speaker said the martyr's philosophy remains relevant till this day while paying floral tributes at his statue.

"Youth should maintain the national spirit in their minds and work for the betterment of Punjab and the country," the speaker said.

He also said a museum in Singh's memory would be completed beforeMarch 23 next year and all other basic requirements of his native village would be fulfilled on priority.
