Punjab to start online registration of property

In a meeting held here today to review the ongoing projects of Revenue Department, Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia said that going by the commitment of SAD-BJP government to bring transparency in the revenue transactions, the department is all set to implement online registration of property and land.

Mohali would be the first district in which this project would be implemented by October, Majithia said.

Explaining the details of the first of its own kind people friendly project, the minister said that under the project, the buyer would send e-mail to the portal of Punjab Land Record Society requesting for the registration and he would be allotted a password through e-mail.

 

Majithia said that the buyer have to gradually furnish details about the property, text of registration of document and challan number of deposit of stamp duty on the browser of the portal.

He said that after the submission of the document through e-mail, the registration authority would check the veracity of the document, and give a print out of the registration to the buyer after depositing the registration fee.
