Rains in several parts of Himachal

Several places in Himachal Pradesh received rainfall as monsoon remained normal over the state, the meteorological department said on Thursday.

Heavy rainfall lashed isolated places in Kangra district since Wednesday evening, Shimla MeT Centre Director Manmohan Singh said.

Dharmshala received 89 mm of rainfall, followed by Nahan (43 mm), Gaggal (39 mm), Sarkaghat (32 mm) Kangra and Bhoranj (23 mm each), Baldwara (17 mm), Amb (14 mm), Bharari (9 mm), Una (8 mm), Chail (6 mm) and Solan (5 mm), he added.

The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Una at 31.8 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature was in tribal district Lahaul and Spiti's administrative centre Keylong at 6.9 degrees Celsius, Singh said.
