Light to moderate rainfall today lashed parts of Punjab and Haryana, rising water level in dams.
While Ludhiana was drenched by 28.6 mm rains, Patiala received 19.7 mm downpours.
Chandigarh received 14.8 mm rainfall, followed by 13.6 mm in Karnal, 7.3 mm at Ambala and 0.8 mm in Amritsar.

Elsewhere, Narnaul settled at a high of 40.3 deg C, Amritsar 35.8 deg C, Patiala 34.3 deg C and Ambala 34 deg C.
Chandigarh settled at a high of 33.6 deg C, three notches below normal, while it was 33.3 deg C in Ludhiana.
Meanwhile, water level in Bhakra Dam recorded 1608.01 feet as against 1534.50 feet last year on the same day, officials said.
The water level of Pong Dam was at 1325.72 feet, which is 31.45 feet more than it was recorded last year on the same day, they said.
Similarly, water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam touched 513.36 metre mark, 13.77 metre more than the water level recorded last year on the same day.
The inflow of water in Bhakra dam was 73,732 cusecs as against 31,285 last year and the release from the dam was 32,710 cusecs as against 29,459 cusecs last year.
The inflow of water in Pong dam has been recorded as 34,093 cusecs, in Ranjit Sagar Dam it was 15,818 cusecs.Year.
Bhakra Beas Management Board authorities have advised people to move away from river banks and dam's down flow stream of water areas.
