Raj: Labour dept to hold 'Jansunwai' on Majithia wage board

The labour commission will hold a 'jansunwai' for working journalists and non-journalists of newspaper industry from July 1 to 31 in Rajasthan, in order to review the implementation of Majithia wage board's recommendation in the state.

The public hearing would be held every day for one hour (working days) from July 1 to 31 for journalists and non-journalists of newspaper industry, Additional Labour Commissioner C B S Rathore was quoted as saying in an official release here today.

Labour department's inspector would interact with the media persons and prepare a report for submission to the Central Labour Commission to gauge whether the Majithia wage recommendations were implemented or not, and if implemented what was the line of action by the industry, it said.
 

Employers' views would also be sought so that both sides of employees and employers be assessed, Rathore said.

In compliance with the Supreme Court's order, the labour inspectors were appointed in every district of Rajasthan, he said.
