Rajasthan govt hikes DA by 7 pc

The Rajasthan government has hiked dearness allowance of the state government employees and pensioners by 7 per cent.

The hike will be effective from July 1, 2014 and it will benefit nearly 7 lakh employees and 3 lakh pensioners.

"In present, the DA is 100 per cent and now it will increase to 107 per cent. The decision will cost additional annual burden of Rs 875 crore to the exchequer," according to an official release.
