Rajasthan labourer electrocuted

A labourer from Rajasthan was today electrocuted when he came in contact with a live wire at his workplace in Anantnag district in south Kashmir, police said.

Lakhvinder Singh, a resident of Gulabpora in Rajasthan, was electrocuted while adjusting a bore-well machine at Traphoo village in Achabal, 70 km from here.

He died on his way to the hospital, a police spokesman added.

Meanwhile, a local, who was reportedly suffering from epilepsy, was found dead in his fields in central Kashmir's Budgam district early today.

Bashir Ahmad Tantray (34) was found dead by neighbours in his fields at Garend Khrid village, 30 km from here, police said, adding that a probe has been initiated to ascertain the cause of death.
