Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today inaugurated a 'Adarsh Bazar' and also laid foundation stone for a students' library in Barkat Nagar locality here.

The market, which connects busy Tonk road to other interior localities, has been developed on the lines of famous walled city markets of Jaipur.

After the inauguration, she inspected the one-kilometre long market in an open gypsy and said that the government was committed to develop markets and facilities in the state.

Both the sides of the market, shops and houses, have been painted pink with white borders to give the market a look similar to that of walled city bazars like Chaura Rasta, Johri Bazar and others.

Education minister Kalicharan Saraf, Mayor Jyoti Khandelwal and senior officers were present on the occasion.
