From dancing on hit numbers, enjoying 'nariyal paani' to pouring their heart out to scribes, "Tamasha" stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone lived up to the every moment of their overnight train journey from Mumbai to Delhi.
Accompanied by film's director Imtiaz Ali's, the team said the basic idea behind going on a train ride was to spend quality time with media as they are in the final leg of their promotional spree.
The journey began on a sultry Sunday afternoon from the super crowded Mumbai central station, where people thronged in large numbers to get a glimpse of their favourite stars before they took their respective trains.

Dressed casually in denims, Ranbir and Deepika arrived at the platform just ten minutes ahead of the scheduled departure time to avoid chaos.
"The idea was to just have fun and spend quality time with my friends. When I work with Ranbir or Imtiaz, we always bond over food and travel and we are passionate about it. So, we decided to go for it and share all these experiences with you people. Train journeys are romantic," Deepika told PTI.
Ranbir said while he has travelled in trains in foreign lands many times, it was his second train ride in India.
"I have travelled by train all over the world, Switzerland, Paris and other places. But in India, I travelled only once by train when I had gone to play a football match in Deolali during my school days. I am really happy that through 'Tamasha', I am getting to know the real India," Ranbir told PTI.
Two special coaches were added to the Suvidha Express to accommodate media and the film's team. Security arrangements were in place to avoid any untoward incident.
Ranbir, Deepika and Imtiaz started their journey with a
selfie with ticket collector before settling down for lip-smacking snacks including sandwiches, peanuts and chips brought by Deepika.
Imtiaz and both the actors chose to sit in one compartment so that they don't miss out on any fun, be it admiring the scene outside the train's window or pulling each other's legs.
"Train is something that we three can't have enough of. I think it's the most romantic way of looking at our country. This was a freak idea by Deepika. Journey is integral to our lives. It's a dramatic and entertaining part of our lives," Imtiaz said.
Interaction with the media began in the late evening where the trio presented their unknown side and often the interviewer became the interviewee as Ranbir would throw questions to the media.
To take their idea of fun a level higher, Ranbir and Deepika candidly opened up about their equation post their break-up.
They also entertained the train staff by visiting the pantry car in the middle of the night to have dinner.
As the train reached Kota station around 3am, the actors got down for tea with fans, who were waiting for the 'Tamasha' team. Ranbir happily posed for selfies with the fans.
Their final destination was the national capital, where the stars were welcomed by hundred of fans and a pleasant cold morning.
