"We are well aware of the operations and activities of the organisation in Pakistan and are ready to deal with any challenge," BSF IGP Aditya Mishra, who is also chief of the Punjab frontier of the force, told reporters at a function here organised to mark the 48th foundation day of BSF today.

Days after 26/11 Mumbai attack convict Ajbal Kasab was hanged, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had reportedly issued threat of conducting terror strikes in Amritsar and Hyderbad.

"Even Pakistan is not shielded from the terror operations of Tehreek-e-Taliban...There are different factions of the organisation which are collectively targeting Pakistani establishment," Mishra said.

"Taking account of increased terrorists' activities across the border, BSF's Punjab frontier is full alert," said Mishra, adding that "increase in any kind of terror activity in Pakistan would be a threat to India."
