Refined soya oil futures edge higher 0.15% on spot demand

Refined soya prices were up by 0.15 per cent to Rs 664.90 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions after uptick in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in November edged up by Re 1, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 664.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 59,240 lots.

Likewise, the for delivery in October traded higher by 55 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 655.50 per 10 kg in 12,040 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders due to pick-up in demand in the physical market against limited supplies from growing regions mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
