Press Trust of India New Delhi
Refined soya oil prices eased by 0.18 per cent to Rs 648.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on muted demand.

Besides, adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts weighed on refined soya oil prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May declined by Rs 1.15, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 648.70 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 19,080 lots.

However, the oil for delivery in far-month June held steady at Rs 663.50 per 10 kg in 1,16,950 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders on the back of muted demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
