Amid weak demand against adequate stocks position in the spot market, refined soya oil prices fell 0.46 per cent to Rs 742.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February edged Rs 3.45, or 0.46 per cent, lower to Rs 742.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 35,290 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March contracts weakened by Rs 3.30, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 744.75 per 10 kg in 30,100 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by traders on the back of lower demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions influenced refined soya oil futures.
