Refined soya oil futures slide 0.49% on sluggish demand

Refined soya oil prices were down by 0.49 per cent to Rs 667,10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced exposure amid subdued demand in spot markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October fell by Rs 3.30, or 0.49 per cent to Rs 667.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of 40,130 lots.

The oil for delivery in September declined by Rs 3.20, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 660.70 per 10 kg in 45,420 lots.

Market analysts said trimming of positions by traders following sluggish demand in spot market against sufficient stocks position weighed on futures prices.
