Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Dr Ashok Kumar Singh was crushed to death while trying to catch a moving train at Dhanbad railway station today.
The incident occurred around 8.20 am at platform No. 3. Dr Singh was to go Patna from Dhanbad -Patna Ganga Damodar Intercity Express. According eye witness as he tried to catch a moving train when he slipped under train. GRP personnel and railway staff immediately admitted him at the central hospital of BCCL where doctors declared him brought dead.

Doctors said Dr Singh belonged to Mokama city of Patna district (Bihar) but had been living in Dhanbad after retirement.
Indian Medical Association (IMA) and medical fraternity of coal belt have expressed deep shock over death of Dr Singh. "Medical fraternity is shocked after tragic incident. He was my closed friend. For services of coal belt people Dr Singh decided to live in Dhanbad rather than Mokama", said Dr AK Singh, state president of IMA.
