Rs 1.50 cr unaccounted cash seized

Rs 1.50 crore unaccounted cash was today recovered from a vehicle during a checking drive ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

The cash was found in a car whose owner could not account for it - the source of the money or the purpose for which it was being taken, Sub Divisional Magistrate C P Tewari said.

The money has been deposited in the treasury here, the SDM said.
