Some unidentified burglars allegedly barged into a jewellery shop in Laxmi Nagar area of east Delhi and decamped with gold and diamonds worth Rs 50 lakh, police said today.
According to police, the incident came to light when the owner Kimti Lal opened the shop this morning.
"Police rushed to the spot soon after a PCR call was received. The victim has claimed to have lost jewellery worth around Rs 50 lakh," they said.
A case of burglary has been registered at the Laxmi Nagar police station and investigations are underway, police said.
