BSP MLA Noor Salim and BJP MLA Suresh Rana, who were arrested last Saturday for allegedly making provocative speeches, have been granted bail today.

Chief Judicial Magistrate K P Singh has allowed the bail application of Salim, while another court granted bail to Rana.

Both were directed to furnish a surety bond of Rs 20,000.

They will be released after completing the formalities.

In another case BJP MLA Sangeet Som has withdrawn his bail application.

A local court on September 18 issued non-bailable arrest warrants against a BSP MP, two MLAs each of BJP and BSP and 11 other political and community leaders for allegedly inciting communal violence that has claimed the lives of 49 people.
