Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla today exhorted the party cadre to gear up for the upcoming Punjab assembly polls to help register a "thumping victory" for the third consecutive time in the state.

He separately met the state office bearers of the party's Kisan Morcha and Mahila Morcha and discussed the preparations for the state-level booth workers' conference scheduled for November 20 in Jalandhar.

BJP national president Amit Shah is slated to attend the conference, a party release said.

Sampla asked the functionaries of both the fronts to reach out to the people and listen their grievances.

He asked workers to propagate achievements of state's Akali-BJP government and Modi-led NDA government at the Centre.

"Modi government has introduced new policies for dalits, backward classes and the deprived sections of the society, while the Akali-BJP coalition government has focused on agriculture, rural development, health and creation of jobs during the last 10 years of its rule and transformed Punjab into an ideal state," he said.

Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha president Mona Jaiswal said, "Booth workers will participate with enthusiasm in the state-level conference".

Meanwhile, state BJP Kisan Morcha president Sukhpal Singh Nannu informed that the expansion of the Morcha at block level will soon take place.
