School teacher beats 11-year-old boy in Rajasthan, dies

An 11-year-old boy died allegedly after being beaten by his teacher in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police said today.

Rahul, a student of Class V in a government school in Kishangarh bas area, was allegedly beaten with a stick on July 15 by a teacher, Virendra, they said.

He was admitted to a hospital for few days but he succumbed to his injuries last night in his home, Station House Officer of Kishangarh bas police station, Rajendra Singh said.

On the complaint of victim's family, an FIR has been registered against the teacher, he said.

An investigation is on, he said, adding that no arrest was made so far.
